Sometimes life’s most irritating problems have the simplest solutions. I was getting so annoyed with people (mostly the mailman + my dog barking) disrupting naptime, but I never did anything about it.
Then Mike suggested I close the front blinds and door. And I saw another suggestion on Offbeat Mama to put up a friendly sign. Duh and duh!
And hey… it works! Already have made it through a quiet naptime and found a package left on the front porch when we were done.
Your sign looks SO much nicer than the piece of trash I’ve thrown up in the past–an awkwardly scrawled “baby sleeping–please do not ring” on the back of an old electric bill.
Yeah, that’s much nicer than the “If you wake the baby up there will be hell to pay,” sign I put up once when we were having multiple solicitations a day when Elliott was about 5-6 months old.
