What do you do when your work is featured on Dooce’s Daily Style?

* Text your husband at work immediately, obvs.

* Pace around grinning and wringing your hands.

* Listen to Wyclef Jean The Carnival. What? Is that not cool?

* Pace around some more… do a little Running Man.

What can I say, I party hard.

I’m so grateful to Heather for putting my card up on her site (we are SO on a first name basis now, next week we are getting together to braid each other’s pixie cuts). I know I’m only like the billionth person to think Dooce is awesome and also not unique in that hers was one of the first blogs I ever read (probably about 8 years ago now). But seeing my work on Daily Style makes me feel like I have been teleported to the red carpet on Oscar night and my favorite movie star (Gwyneth Paltrow – shut up, I love her) is admiring my dress (it’s Mossimo for Target! thanks for asking!). Please forgive me if I’m semi-incoherent right now because I am FREAKING OUT with happiness.

I’m so not cool, I know… I should be pretending this happens to me every day.

Even worse than that I totally want to get all sappy and talk about how when you decide to really be yourself and do what you love and follow your bliss (ew), amazing things start happening almost right away. But that would be so gross of me. So I won’t even go there.
